Comes A Bright Day is an upcoming British film. The film was written and directed by Simon Aboud, starring Craig Roberts, Imogen Poots, Kevin McKidd and Timothy Spall.[1] Comes A Bright Day is Aboud's directorial debut. The film is to be a mix of genres; a darkly comic thriller, involving a romance set within a heist and is a story about searching for the hidden gems that make life infinitely richer.[2]

Sam Smith, a bright, ambitious and handsome bellboy at a five star hotel has big dreams of one day running his own restaurant. On a seemingly ordinary day, he suddenly finds himself in a life or death hostage situation with the radiantly beautiful Mary and her belligerent elderly boss Charlie while running an errand at a one of London’s most exclusive jewelers.[2] Against the backdrop of an armed jewell robbery that goes badly wrong, hostages Sam and Mary, flung together by deadly circumstance, discover their true feelings for each other.[3]
Principal photography began on May 16, 2011 on location around Mayfair and at London’s Elstree Studios.[4] Comes A Bright Day was financed by Matador Pictures[5], Regent Capital[6] and Lost Tribe Productions.[7][8]
British fashion designer Sir. Paul Smith has dressed the principle cast for the film, and photographed Imogen Poots for Japanese magazine, Numero on set.[9]
The Foo Fighters have given special permission for the use of their track My Hero on the soundtrack of the film.[10]
Europe's largest printed music publisher Music Sales are music supervising the upcoming film.[11]
